Ray and I met one Friday Afternoon at the end of April 2002. My company, then much smaller had become victim of a computer virus. As I was the only tech support the company had, I called a friend (James) to ask for advice as that was over my head. He recommended I call a friend of his with his own computer company to assist us. They sent their service manager and in came Ray to the rescue! Over the next few days Ray was in and out of my office getting us back in order. We started chatting at the end of the day, and finished hours later. We made plans, and went out for drinks & darts. And the rest as they say was history. Ray mentioned wanting to go to the Goo Goo Dolls / Five for Fighting Concert with no one to go with, and everyone knows I am always up for a rock concert. So a few days later Ray showed up with 2 tickets. That was the start of a Concert Series Summer.
Valentines Day, 2004 and I had already gotten a beautiful white gold & diamond heart pendant necklace. Ray & I ventured out for a ride and stopped at a local place for Sushi. Upon being seated, Ray and I encountered a strange smell coming from the kitchen. After finding out that there were no specials, Ray informed a disagreeing Manager and we left. Now wanting Tuna, We traveled to our regular Sushi Restaurant by our house. When you walk in to Hana Sushi there are pictures of the regulars up on the wall. My back was to that wall, and Ray had mentioned that Tawn & Brian’s (My Bosses) picture was up on the wall. I turned to show him where, and when I turned back Ray’s hand was on my glass. Now my only thought was that he was going to take Ice from the glass and try to shoot it down my shirt. (I was wearing a v-cut shirt to show off my new necklace) So Ray laughed off that I busted him, and we proceeded with dinner. A few minutes later, Ray’s hand was at my glass again, but this time something clunked in my glass. As I fished the ring out of my glass, Ray took it and stood up. The only thing I could think was Sit Down, Sit Down, you don’t have to stand up. He raised his arms, and interrupted the entire restaurant. “Excuse Me, Excuse Me, Can I have everyone’s attention” Ray proceeded to announce to the whole restaurant that he was giving me an engagement ring and asking me to marry him. He got down on one knee ask gave me the ring. The whole restaurant started clapping, the took our picture, and the table next to us bought us a glass of wine.
Gayle Illana Feldman …was born on December 2nd, 1974. Well, at least that’s what it turns out to be! When my family moved to Rockville Centre (Long Island, NY) the summer before kindergarten my parents discovered that the cut off date for school registration was December 1st. Somehow, ( I still don’t know how) they managed to get me into the class. It wasn’t until I turned 10 or so that I learned the truth, and started celebrating my birthday on the 2nd. I lived in RVC until the summer between my junior & senior year of high school, when I moved to Coral Springs, Florida. There I met some of my closest friends (no matter how often or how little we keep in touch) and received my Associates degree. I later moved to Orlando where I attended the University of Central Florida and earned my Bachelors Degree in Marketing, and years later still have not left. I spent many hours hanging out at Devaney’s Sports Bar & Grill in Winter Park, where there was always a friend or 10, almost guaranteed to be there! While in College, I was a manager at a local bagel store. Their motto was to have “WOW” Customer Service. It was here that met my current boss! Tawn was a regular customer that I would see come in, running late on her way to the office, and prepare her Skinny Cappuccino so she could skip the line and just pay and go. On occasion Tawn would even meet her loan applicants at my store. Eventually she had a position available and asked if she could hire me. I was to be her assistant part time and an assistant doing marketing (my major) for Morrison Homes. Hating my finance class at UCF, I was a little leery, but she assured me it was different. Two years later I helped her start her own, and now very successful mortgage company. She must have been right, because here it is 6 years later, and I am a Loan Consultant for Morrison Homes! (I definitely don’t miss the 4:15am calls that the baker didn’t show up!) I am the proud Aunt and God-Mother of Alexis Morgan, my brother’s first child. Click Here to see some pictures of her
